I can't comment on the quality of Guiness, although it must certainly have that magic 'something', it's such a popular drink. I'm afraid I find the taste unpleasant.

My preference is for cask conditioned beers.

I gather that Guiness is elsewhere described as 'pasteurized'. Isn't that the same as 'keg'?. (That most despised of so-called beers that has been filtered and heat treated to prolong it's life, and therefore increase the profitability of the sale of the product.)

Pardon my ignorance if I'm wrong, this is just my understanding of the situation. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
