If you are on your honeymoon, Elgin is a great place to go - there's not much else to do.....Only kidding. That whole North East coast is worth exploring but wrap up well in can be cold and windy. If you are up as far as Elgin, really recommend Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Go right up North too, you won't be disappointed. The scenery is worth it and places like Beaully, Dornoch (where Madonna got - Ach I'm no going to say it cos it was a great place long before she turned up) Golspie, Brora then right up to John O Groats. Head for the Orkneys where you could hear some great traditional music often played by ten year olds who make you sick and of course the Shetlands (a bit trickier to get to.)

However there is much to recommend Fort William, Oban, Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee, the borders, Dumfries, Auchtertool - how long were you staying?
