Subject: RE: Help: Were these tunes popular during USCW
Why not use some of the tunes played by the band that entertained the spectators watching the slaughter at the Battle of Gettysburg?
These included Mockingbird; Palmyra Schottische; Freischutz Quick Step; The Port Royal Galop; Nightingale Waltz; Hail To The Chief; Hail Columbia.
Other popular tunes included Juanita; Lulu's Gone; Tramp, Tramp; Carry Me Back to Old Virginny; We are Coming, Father Abraham; Tenting Tonight on The Old Camp Ground; Goober Peas; When Johnny Comes Marching Home; The Yellow Rose of Texas; Bonny Blue Flag; Stephen Foster songs; Easter Galop; Cheer, Boys, Cheer; Maryland, My Maryland; Old Hundredth; Luto Quickstep; Storm galop; Dixie; Come Where My Love Lies Dreaming; Garry Owen; St. Patrick's day in the Morning; etc.
