The one thing that worries me is when you've known that it's going somewhere loads of times, and it hasn't.

Actually, that's not really true is it, 'cos every relationship gives you something, even if it's just a splitting headache and the experience that tells you that eventually 'you know it IS going somewhere...' will probably turn into 'you know it's going nowhere...'

Anybody read 'The Bridge Across Forever', by Richard Bach? Call me romantic old sucker, but I believed it. It was a real bummer to discover that Richard and Leslie split.
