In addition to the various marvellous shows he also made a fantastic series of records. One of my particular favourites is called "Another Lot" which parodies the reading of a will (I think). Some of the items listed are really hilarious. Try "One small brown box containing - another small brown box" or "seven and a half pair of damask curtains with foam rubber lining well known in Belgravia." I believe the LP is called "Pickled Milligan" but I haven't heard it since the 50s. In passing the "Q series" never really got the benefit they deserved. They were probably too anarchic for the hide bound bureaucrats of television. Farewell Mad Dan Eccles, you were a bright shining light in my life.
