Wolfgang, I don't understand the question "What happens?" in your challenge. You'd be east of where you were but the same distance from the pole. But what's supposed to "happen"?

If it's the North Pole, I suppose what would happen is that you'd get wet, since I've read that, with global warning, the polar ice cap has melted at the pole (so you wouldn't be walking east, you'd be rowing... or swimming).
