I joined the Spokane Folklore Society, paid for a year and a half, and they haven't put me on their mailing list. Maybe that guy that wants his dad removed should forward it to me. Lately I'm hanging with the Bluegrass people--a nicer group one couldn't find, with a nice informative newsletter as well. I think Spokane is poised for a lively music scene, with lots of nonsmoking, nondrinking venues available (Rocket bakeries, Hastings, The Shop, Mother Goose), to name a few.
