One word of advice - DON'T try high level walking alone, Even in summer, let alone April, conditions can change rapidly, and clouds and mist can quickly disorient you. It isn't dangerous if you know where you are and you have got a companion, but there are circumstances where a slight mistake can have serious consequences. It can happen to people who think they know the hills like the palm of their hand.

However a few days in the Welsh mountains is a great cure for anything; the views, on a clear day, are amazing - from Yr Wyddfa it is sometimes possible to see Scotland, Ireland, The Isle of Man, and of course Wales and England. This is known as being able to see six kingdoms - the sixth being the Kingdom of Heaven!

Have a look at the Youth Hostel association site (the definition of "youth" is fairly elastic!)YHA
