Conwy is a town at the very tip of North Wales, build around a medieval castle (just a shell now) and I found it very pleasant hiking in the area; like to the site of a ruined castle at Deganwy, two miles out of town...the bus ride in, which goes past Caernarvon and Betys y Coed, is also lovely
