Thanks for the copyright info, Masato. I'll bet that date is correct, because I know the song had been sung by others long before either Eddie Fisher or Eddy Arnold. It probably just didn't make the top of the charts, such as they were, at its original publication. That's not unusual. (E.g., "Teddy Bears' Picnic" was first published in 1906 but did not become popular in the US until the late 1940's or early 1950s.)If the sheet music which lists Arnold and Fisher purports to have been published in 1921, that's a different matter, of course. (Most often, I find the 'error' is the other way around--newly published sheet music for a very old song often contains a very NEW copyright date, presumably meaning the copyright on that sheet music or that arrangement.
