Oy vay! Each time this comes back up I cringe. So just a reminder...

I didn't encourage it.

It was started tongue-in-cheek because I passed some information on Tiny Tim to a friend who does a radio show. Courtesy ain't heroic, (as Peter T has so gleefully pointed out) and even that only goes to those who deserve it.
