Two new songbooks have been produced by Oak Publications:
The Essential Ewan MacColl Songbook
The Peggy Seeger Songbook
Both of these large, attractive books were compiled by Peggy Seeger and contain those songs they have written. Each song has an introduction, music, and lyrics, and many have illustrations. There is also introductory material containing a biography and discussion of the songwriting, as well as various appendices, discography, indices and so on.

The Ewan MacColl book is subtitled "sixty years of songmaking" and contains 199 songs. The discography lists 55 records. The Peggy Seeger book is subtitled "forty years of songmaking" and contains 154 songs. The discography includes 32 recordings.
