Went to Sligo for a weekend of music a year or so ago with three friends. Musically, Sligo was shut. All the sessions take place during the week. We were all musicians so could make our own fun but the point of going was to play with other musicians. One success though was McLoughlins. The bar owner is a guitar player and musicians are very welcome.

Might be different this weekend as its the 17th but then there might be a whole lot of paid gigis as opposed to sessions.
