On a musical note..... this sounds a lot like what happens to me if I suddenly have to think about what I'm singing halfway through a song - I usually go onto 'autopilot', so if I suddenly 'come back' and notice what I'm singing, I get utterly and irretrievably lost! Senility? Or does someone else do this too....please say yes....
