Oh, oh, my dear McGrath - Germany doesn't belong to this group. We Krauts or Fritzes are originally named "Michels" after our patron St Michael. Only the landed gentry formerly manning the Imperial Castle of Friedberg could have flown their flag on this occasion, since they had St george as patron, but the castle was disbanded in 1806 and later on sucked in by the brave commoners of the Town of Friedberg (formerly Imperial and free, too, but alas! now intermediate). But shouldn't you include the Russians, too?
