Subject: RE: The curse of St. Pat's day continues...
Hi Leenia and folks... Actualy this post is not about who to blame... and Doug's punch in the nose joke in the context of a Quaker meeting was not to be taken so serriously I am sure! But, for any of you who work on the 17th, from cab drivers to buskers, you know it is a DOG of a holiday. The joke in this wee piece of St. Pat's fate, is that EVEN at a sober and pleasantly grey place, the curse hits... two years ago, for example, the pub that booked my band, was closed by the court on the morning of the 17th, so I got another gig... and was paid vertualy nothing but tips... and the band's tip bucket was stolen that year. So there you are, maybe it is because my way back ansestor fought on Cromwell's side. Who knows? Cheers Larry
