Thread Name: Birthday Thread--If you want it known!
Subject: RE: Birthday Thread--If you want it known!
I was born in Norway, far far north in the land of the vikings on December 14th, 1971 :) (yes I know, one of the itty bitty people)

I decided to add my birthday since I'm now (as of a minute ago :)) a member of the mudcat cafe. I finally decided to join, having spent every available moment the last week (only discovered you a week ago), stuck in front of my computer reading up on threads and lyrics :). You really should put up a warning sign, saying higly addictive, this thing will turn your fingers keyboard shaped, your eyes square, and make the idea of doing anything vaguely sensible (work perhaps?) seem absolutely ridiculous. I must have spent hours and hours here, in stitches at some of the stuff you people have written, and I always have to check new threads when I come home, just in case I've missed something. I'm going to the Caribbean on holiday on Wednesday, and I decided this was getting a little much whenmy first thought was, 'but I'll miss a whole week!', so I'm now trying to ration time here :). I've travelled the internet quite a bit, but this is the first time I've ever found a place that I've actually wished I could be part of, so I decided to jump in and try it :). Congratulations on a really really cool place :)! Having read about you all, I hope you manage to have some sort of a get together at some point, as I'd be dying to see some of the characters here for myself :). You also seem to be a lovely mix of people, and from what I've seen you're warm, funny (hilarious at times), talented and full of surprises!

I'll not take up more space, this being a birthday thread and all....

Thanks for hours of great entertainment :)

Vibeke, now living in Stavanger in Norway

PS; I know it doesn't belong here in this thread, but I thought it might be worth a try :).. Is there anyone out there, who might have heard an irish song called The Night O'Rafferty's Pig Ran Away???
