I object to the pretense of the Coen Brothers. I don't object to them doing nothing interesting with The Odyssey, lots of people have done nothing interesting with it. What I object to is their deliberate invoking of Preston Sturges' Sullivan's Travels (the film he was proposing to make was called "O Brother Where Art Thou") and making a film that was not 1/100th of anything Sturges made. I know no one knows or cares about this but me, but what the hell.
