Investigate your burner well. My Richo 6080 (ish) will do less than 99 mins on a 90 minute CD-R (may be 84/85).
My impression is that there is an angular factor. The arm has a limit set in the burner and not all burners go all the way for 90 and 99 minute CD-Rs.
