Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Fear A Bhata
Yeah, but the problem is that I'm not looking for the "real" version and of course I know it's just one of the possible translations - and that's why the versions differ from one another... I know all that, but still my favorite version of the song is Silly Wizard's, and I want to play it and sing it as close to the way they do, as possible... But you see, I can't sing the song when I don't understand exactly the words - english is not my native language (unfortunately). I've read the thread, it's very interesting and I love the celtic tradition and would like to know much more about it... But at the moment it's not the original version that I'm lookng for nor the truth about the origins of it. I mean it's all very interesting BUT I JUST NEED THE LYRICS TO MY FAVORITE VERSION, 'cause I want to sing it the way they do... That's all... And right now I think I got the three parts quite right but I understand only... let's say a half of the words from the second part... I can't sing it that way... George, (or any one else who's reading this) do you have the Silly Wizard's (or Rebbeca Pidgeon) version recorded? Could you just listen to it and try to get the lyrics right? And correct me if I'm wrong about the other parts of the song... ???:)))))))))))))))))
