Wow, this thread is becoming more and more interesting, I did't know THIS realy works!!! I was amazed when I found five new messages when I woke up, and now I'm amazed that I see... seven new... wow!!! Thanks one more time! "Take the brass ring" means to be the best? But that's okey, my intention wasn't to prove I'm the best in writing down hte words;) but to have them written down as best as I can, that's why I asked for help. The only problem was that the lyrics from the site were ALMOST perfect, I mean I listened to the record and new there were some little things still ot be changed if I wanted to have the perfect-Silly Wizard's version of them... I just proposed some corrections - and I was right about the moments in the song when they still needed to be changed;)... And I'm really happy someone corrected me:) For example: the first "Silly Wizard's lyrics" that I got, the first verse: I definitely heard that the guy doesn't sing "a sail to see" (oh yeah, before that I thought it was "sea", not "see" - doesn't make much difference when you hear it;)but it sounds more like "I sailed to see"... I wasn't sure, but I heard more of the sound "I" than "A";) Yes, "Thy" makes more sense, (but the way I thought was good, 'cause "thy" rhymes with "I", it sounds very similar in the song... And anyway I was right about the few moments;)))))) Thank you all, it was like "polishing" the stone - I mean all those subtleties in the lyrics...:))))))))

Yeah - and I just took Silly Wizard's CD, and what can I see there? It is written here: "The version Andy sings is a translation from Gaelic by MALCOLM LAWSON... So there is still one more thing, one more mystery to solve... Who is the author of the translation that Silly Wizard sings, 'cause the words I got from Malcolm (Douglas, not Lawson;) seem to be the exact ones and you wrote it is the work of Thomas Pattison... And I have written on their CD (why haven't I checked it in the first place???) that it's a translation of Malcolm Lawson...???

Thanks for the link to Andy's site:)))))))) Oh - anyone knows how to make those line breaks in the text??? Every time after a while I find out somebody's done it for me... (I mean the text "line breaks added")?
