Hi 53. It's actually the guitar case that smells funny - it's the new case that Taylor provides with the 314, and has a strong chemical smell of glue or synthetic fibre. But it rubs off on the guitar, so the first ten minutes that the guitar is out of the case it smells funny too. That's the one thing I miss about my old guitar - it smelled like fresh cedar! Marion
