If 'tis th' sang I'm thinkin' o', ye can find it on their album "Dancin' Chantin'" an' I can help ye oot wi' lyrics. I'm thinkin' th' wairds micht be frae Ewan MacColl, but as I dinnae hae liner notes masel', I cannae substantiate it... jist seem tae reca' comin' across it in ane o' his sangbuiks an' bein' astoundit ance agin by th' "traditional" soond o' his wairk, guid eno' tae fool me intae assumin' maist o' MacColl's sangs are muckle aulder than th' man hissel' (God rest 'im...).Fae wuid be a fisherman's wife
Tae wairk wi' a tub an' a scrubber an' a knife
A deid-oot fire an' a raivel'd bed,
An' awa' tae th' mussels in th' mairnin'.
CHORUS: Here we come scoorin' in/ three [reefs tae th' fo'c'sl in?]/ There's nae dry stick tae put ower oor backs/ But still we're a' teetotalers.
I dinnae hae a recordin' o' this available tae me richt th' noo, sae I'm wrichtin' doon lyrics frae ma ain recollection an' will haud ma wheesht afore I muck them up further, but I'll try tae track th' sang doon agin an' gie ye th' fu' leet. Hope this helps ye summat, at least!
