A little thread creep here..when I perform at Highland Games and festivals, pipers tend to congregate where the musicians are playing to an audience, and practise/warm up for some unknown reason, thereby pissing off the singers and annoying our audiences. I mean, there are lots of other places they can go and blow the shit out of their pipes and not bother anyone. But no, they always come near the stage where the (real) musicians are performing, to allegedly tune-up. So I've devised a sign to post around our stage areas for 300 or 400 yards or so. It's the international Verboten symbol as described by Jed up above there, with the silhouette of a piper in the circle. Think it would work. Probably, but with my luck, their place would be taken by drummers! All the best.
