So are we saying that the situation would be better if Bush were to be directly involved? Somehow I don't think so. So who should be negotiating an agreement? Jimmy Carter? William Cohen? Jessie Jackson? And what, other than an immediate cease-fire, should be the objective? Restoration of the pre-67 borders? That's what it will take to get Arab recognition of the Israeli "right-to-exist".
