A very excellent guitar that should have been more successful. It has single coil pickups with a real variety of tones available. A blues monster, it can do the "wild thing" like Willie Johnson on those early Howlin' Wolf records. It can also be played soft and bassy. It was also a favorite of many 'psychedelic' musicians in the 60s. A good all around electric. Fender beat it out in looks and Gibson in those years was owned by the conglomeate Norlin and didn't push it. They preferred the profit on their more expensive guitars. An underrated guitar. It looks a little clunky but is real effective. There are two different related body styles (single or double cutaway) and they have either one or two pickups. Heads up Mudcatters, these show up in odd places from time to time and should not be real expensive. A best buy. MM clicky one. MM clicky two Wish I still had one.
