The amazing thing about a blues piper is that is is largely dependant on an application of woad; but playing with only one arm is quite unususal!I suspect he learned his skill from a legendary one-armed tin whistle player from Kerry. The fellow made his living busking till he lost an arm in the Crimean War...then spent 12 years re-learning his music...(there is a little skit that I learned about him many years ago..remind me at the Getaway)....but it was a marvelous thing to behold, I gather, as he used his little finger as support on high notes.
