Richard Hayward was born 1898 and died in 1964. His active period was from his production of "Ulster Songs and Ballads" (London, Duckworth, 1925) until the late 50s when he was making long playing records with Sean Maguire for the Scottish Beltona Label. I have always assumed that Orange Standard and Ireland Calling (similar formats) both published by Mozart Allen were issued in the thirties - neither is dated but Ireland Calling associates each song with Decca and Regal Zonophone catalogue numbers and their archives could provide more precise dates.John Moulden
