Just yesterday the local MS Society out of Peoria and members of the LaSalle-Peru MS support group loaned me, pretty much permanently, a new electric scooter to replace the twenty year old one I've used for the last 5 years to get a few CDs to the post office---to get me to the library and generally around. (I can walk about a block---but getting home again is the tough one.) This new scooter can even climb the curb ramps without going over backwards and tossing me in the gutter or in a puddle.
