I will have both hips replaced eventually because I was born with both hips dislocated. While hip surgery has advanced a lot most of the work done is on older folks. For young people the problem becomes one of how long will the replacement hip last. There is also a big difference between replacing a normal hip that has gone bad and my situation which involves the worst possible scenario with regard to surgery. Try and talk to others who have had the type of surgery you will get.
