Subject: RE: HELP: Hip and Knee replacements.
Hi Cat, This is Jon's Mum (retired Physioterrorist) Sorry to hear of your problems, have you seen the Consultant yet? I should wait and see what he or she has to say first before you presume on hip replacements. Had the physio. seen your X-rays? Gait assessments are very sophisticated nowadays and will be a good indication of your problems.

The comment made by your friend Tig was interesting and quite telling, it seemed to indicate that you have had problems with your hips since birth and have been involved with doctors before. Congenital abnormalities of joints could have a different approach. Just an idea.

Whatevever the problem is you are very young to have to put up with it, with all the pain and worries involved. I wish you all the best, and I'll be interested to know what the consultant says about it all.
