Thread Name: Gospel Lovers' Mudcat Fundraiser?
Subject: Gospel Lovers' Mudcat Fundraiser?
What do you think.... I have over 500 sound files of gospel tunes (some duplication of songs but probably not many dupes of same song and same artists). Many with lyric files as well. These and all my bookmarks where I find such things will fit on a CD. Would that make a good thank-you gift for people donating to a Mudcat fundraiser?

If so, gospel lovers can challenge some other group to raise a bundle. I think I would take the contributions here, deduct costs (no-frills: shipping, blank CDs, and paper CD sleeves) and send all the proceeds to Mudcat, instead of having Max track who had sent in how much.

Comments?

If we do this, who shall we challenge? Curmudgeons? Trad music lovers? Banjo players? Do we pick a group and challenge them or do we see if someone steps up? (And no, I'm NOT angling for Christians vs. Pagans, especially since so many non-Christians have said they love gospel music!)

Who will take the challenge and come up with a creative approach for their side of it?
