Barns. The word pictures are the main thing, but maybe photographs would complement them.

And here on this page there is a picture of a barn, in a village called Jordans in England; the timbers it's built from came from The Mayflower. And I read a story once about a farmer who wanted to travel the world, so he pulled down his barn, used the wood to build a sailing boat, and set off on his travels.
