John, Glad to hear the participants' party is back to being 'off-campus' ! It's always a drag when we have to cram everybody into one room and/or kick everyone out at about 1:00 AM.

I like the "Mudcat sticker" idea, too.

I also hope there can be more than one room for singing [not excluding instruments for accompaniment], since those of us with softer voices can never get a song in edgewise in the sea-chantey room. Anyway, 40+ people is too big a crowd for a good song circle.

Susan,
You're right that churches sometimes do rent space for late hours. [BTW, I wasn't suggesting they kick folks out at 10P, but that a session that STARTS at 10P may not end until WELL after midnight.] My church [Portland's First Unitarian-Universalist] would qualigy as "pretty liberal," but functions there almost never go beyond midnight, and most end by 11PM. Maybe you easterners just live a wilder life than us Oreganos.

I do like your idea of holding sessions at a mission or shelter. Have to get something like that going one of these months.
