'Allo 'Allo used to be hilarious where the accent taken on by the character told you what language they were speaking, so the bloke playing the Englishman posing as a Gendarme would say things with an appalling accent - '... I was pissing by the durr when I 'eard three shats' and the girl from the resistance would change her accent depending on whether she was speaking to an Englishman or a Frenchman. (If you follow my drift!)
