Thread Name: Lyr Req: Lilac Bouquet (Wayne Raney)
Subject: LILAC BOUQUET ?????
I am loosing my mind. I have asked all the the people I know who might recognize the following lyric's. I heard this song as a child, up the "holler" in West Virginia, listening to WCQK, Cincinnatti, Ohio. I even remember that the disc jockey or the song singer was Wayne Raney.

I believe the name of the song was Lilac Bouquet, but not sure.

Some of the lyric's were: I just opened my bible to bring back old times there's Mother's teardrops on every line, and there on the pages the fragments still lay of a faded blue ribbon and a lilac bouquet. I also remember something about sitting around the white throne.....

I know this is a real song, and will be grateful for anyone who is able to help me find the title and remainder of the lyric's.

You can e-mail me directly at nana.jean@verizon.net

Thank you, Jean
