If I remember correctly, the "patter" provided on the Tommy Armstrong Topic album years ago by Killen et al. *was" in dialect. The recitation about "Haak's Men" by John Atlantic Stephenson is surely in dialect. I have it in a 1927 edition of "Tyneside Songs" edited by C.E. Catheside-Warrington.
