Once I had a total of 37 (when I was in the musical repair business!). But Lady McMoo made me sell most of them! Now it is just:2 steel string acoustics (Lakewood + "Japanese" Lowden)
1 very old French "palour guitar" (still good for slide work)
1 classical guitar
1 custom built electric (of unknown provenance!)
2 acoustic mandolins (custom Eccleshall + 100 year old DiMeglio neapolitan)
1 octave mandolin (Hathway)
1 short scale tenor banjo (Lyon and Healy c.1925)
1 balalaika
1 little greek mini bouzouki thing (forgot what it's called!)
1 Roland midi keyboard
1 upright piano (Zimmerman)
1 set of Latin Percussion (Meinl tumbadora and conga and Supercussion bongos) + assorted claves and shakeables
1 djembe
1 African shoulder drum (forgot the exact name again!)
1 D whistle (Chieftain)
1 G whistle (Overton)
the odd harmonica
1 set of Thai bamboo pipes
Hell's teeth! That still adds up to the best part of 30. Better not let her Ladyship see this!
IAS...? Better get on those tablets again!
Best regards,
mooman
