Texas in July? You MUST be crazy!

By all means when in San Antone, do the River Walk and drink some sangria. Then see the Alamo and learn some Texas history. (It's a very reverent, quite place.) By all means, read the book Texas by James Michener just to learn about some of the history and get ideas about what to see. If you head South, you might like to see Padre Island. As far as Mexico...I just came back from there...not sure it would be worth the time to travel all the way down there.
