Thread Name: OBIT: Dave King - RIP
Subject: Dave King - RIP
Once again folks, your favourite doomsayer has to report the passing of another show business personality. The singer, comedian and actor Dave King has joined the great group in the sky. Born in 1929, he became one of Britain's favourite comedians in the fifties and with a very pleasant singing voice had hits with such numbers as "Memories Are Made of This" and "You Can't Be True to Two." He also had success in America where he hosted "The Kraft Music Hall." Switching to acting he proved himself a talented performer with roles in such films as "The Long Good Friday" (1980) and "Reds" (1981). In the mid 90s he had a regular spot in the soap "Coronation Street." He is survived by his two daughters.
