I've never liked this Anglos vs. Francos business. It's wildly misleading. The Canadian population is, apparently, British Isles origin 28%, French origin 23%, other European 15%, Amerindian 2%, other, mostly Asian, African, Arab 6%, mixed background 26%. My Dad always wrote "Welsh" on any official Canadian forms; my mum, in her youth, was one of the back-lash generation who began to refuse to use "British" for 'origin' and insisted on saying "Canadian".I also seem to remember an Albertan French-Canadian once telling me that they didn't like Quebecois claiming to speak for all French Canadians.
Ain't life in the cultural mosaic grand?
