I've played classic guitars all my life and plan to continue. But lately I've taken a liking to the steel-string sound for certain songs, so I'd like to get my hands on a nice li'l steel-string parlor guitar (without having to mortgage the ranch to buy it). Dreadnaut fans notwithstanding, I've read (and my ears tend to confirm) that the parlor guitar is the best size and configuration for optimum balance between bass, mid-range, and treble in a steel-string guitar. (I've noticed that the first thing a new Dreadnaut owner says when he/she demonstrates his/her new guitar is, "Listen to that bass!!")
