Hmmm. We seem to be creeping into another discussion, but that's OK... When is a bomb a terrorist attack? I would have thought if it's a civilian rather than a soldier detonating it, especially if the target is other civilians rather than military. Thus the attack on the Marine Barracks later in 1983, even though it was a car-bomb, I never considered so much an act of terrorism as an act of war; ditto the Cole bombing. But then again, both of those were perpetrated by civilians, so I guess even by my own definition that would be terrorism, but at least, with the military as a target, it's kind of a more acceptable form of it or something? I'm "thinking out loud" here or whatever the written equivalent is...However, what Sharon's forces are doing/did in Palestine, to me, isn't terrorism, even if they are targeting civilans. Also, Amergin dear, if they were blowing up churches, it was religious fanatics doing it, so the Murrah building still gets to be first of the non-religious-basis homegrown terrorist acts.
