Ok "knew anything"

The King George reference to Geordies is in relation to the Jacobite rebellion, Northumberland was said to be a Jacobite stronghold. The populace of Tyneside were said to be behind King George. However it is more likely that Geordie is used in relation to George Stephenson and his accent when speaking to a parliamentary committee.
