What format are said sound files in, pray tell; MIDI, MP3, regular audio etc.?

Are these CD's in data or audio format - or a combination of both? Are there graphics files of sheet - music / scores? Indexes?

Sounds interesting to me as well, but I'm a little curious just what sort of stuff is on these CDs.
