These will be singles as MP3's, perhaps some longer items in RealPlayer, and any lyric sheets or text files I have that go with them including my edits or added verses, because the main thing for me is how we use these in worship services. An occasional MIDI. Someday, scans of simple chord arrangements on the lyric sheets, for those we have actually worked up.Look at the recent Max Hunter thread to see sources. (Use forum filter on HUNTER, go back about 14 or 30 days.)
This is all stuff you could go surf up yourself.... only you don't have to, because I already did.
I will say this now, and I'll probably say it again and hopefully better in a README file included on the CDs: Do not tell me how I SHOULD have organized it... I did it as I went, sometimes tired and late at night when Net traffic permitted, and often with someone else's kids playing all around me, and there is some lack of logic in the filenaming as original filenames were used as possible. You can reorganize it for yourself and pass it on in your own form, as you wish. I did this first and foremost so it would work for me, with my own filenaming and file storage system already in place for our songsheet files. I was not planning this project, it just accumulated in short order. It is what it is, it is not perfect, it is not scholarly, it is not purist, it is not trying to be anything other than some stuff I gathered and am willing to share.
I will probably include in the README file a key to some of the filenaming so you can see if the source sites have any additional discographic information.
The above is not directed at anyone-- but I am anticipating all sorts of "what you shouldda done"s, and these would really detract from an awareness of the amazing amount of sheer MUSIC that this is!
