I live (or lived) in the strange nether world of westerners trying to sing eastern music. I sang a lot with a very special person called Edischer Garikadnitze from Georgia, Eastern Europe (Damn, I mourn that man). I did a lot of other Eastern European stuff - Russian, Bulgarian, Yugoslavian, you get the picture. Then, everyone that I enjoyed singing with moved away. Silence ensued.

I love anything with really crunchy harmonies; seconds, fourths and the like (to set the picture for you musical types, I've sung C nat. in the bass against C sharp in the tenor - and loved it)

I've had a long standing affair with British folk music, and an abiding love of the kind of word play found in both Music Hall and the sainted (if there's any justice) Spike Milligan (or "Spine Milligna, well known typing error", as he would have had it).

I have also had a somewhat varied life.

I am oldish, bearded, and wear specs i.e. I am omnipresent at the Sidmouth Festival. If you attend, try going up to everyone there who looks like me and saying "You are Grayd {GrayDee} and I claim my free pint". If its the first Saturday, and you get lucky, you could get a free pint!

You now know all that you need to know.
