That's a good article you linked to, Carol. The tragedy is that most of the media talking heads and politicians from whom most of us take our information won't have read it either. The same sound-bites get recycled till they turn into the self-evident.
I don't mean "if you read this article it will change your mind". That's rarely true. But what is true is that people have to take into account this kind of evidence if they are seriously arguing a case. Just ignoring it and parrot fashion restating the last sound-bite by some media pundit is dishonest as well as lazy.
I was glad to see Joe blocking the practice of posting articles directly on the Cat. Aside from anything else, it's a total waste of time. It's virtually impossible to read them when presented as a post. Blocking them isn't a form of censorship, it's a way of directing people to a format where it is far easier to actually read the material.
I think the best thing is to put in the link, and maybe put in a couple of paragraphs of quote or summary to give people a taster.
