I saw it...my mother-in-law called!

I learned two things. (assuming they are true) Montel said ~2.75 million people have the disease instead of the 300,000 we have always heard. I believe he noted the diagnostic improvements, namely MRI. He also made good points about drug research money and the necessity for everyone to be counted so we can get more research money. I also heard one person say that it is believed to be at least 10 different diseases. I knew of symptom clusters, but didn't realize there were that many.

I thought the panel members were very well informed (most people with MS are), and they were very positive and optimistic (most people with MS are).

I'm continually surprised at the people who refuse to try one of the disease modifying drugs or who refuse a lumbar puncture. Kinda like people who won't go to the doctor when they suspect cancer because they are afraid they will be diagnosed with cancer!

I did note that they had four panel members with "invisible" symptoms. They did not have Annette, Richard or Rita.

Overall, I give the program a 10. ;-)
