I just heard a feature on NPR about fado, the blues-like Portuguese folk music sung in a minor key, often to the accompaniment of a 12-string guitar. I haven't heard fado in more than 25 years, when I used to hear it at some of the immigrant clubs in Newark, New Jersey. I presume fado can be found in any community where there folks hail from the Lusophonic world, such as southern New England. Am I right?
